Russian Red is a hardneck garlic variety with an intense spicy bite and long lasting hot. Whether you're roasting, sautéing, or planting, our premium Russian Red garlic delivers both visual appeal and gourmet quality, making it a must-have for every kitchen or gardener. Very hardy; grows well in wet climates with harsh winters. Cut off the scape before it flowers, about a month before bulb harvest, and use them like green onions. The large purple-wrapped bulbs can be 3" in diameter with 6-12 cloves. Medium sized bulbs are about 2 1/2 inches in diameter, and small bulbs are about 2" in diameter. Bulbs will store for 6-7 months in a cool, dry place.
